Hello to our Long Island Community, October 2020
We are the Patriotic Parade Partnership. Please join fellow Long Islanders and help celebrate the 100th birthday of our local WWII Hero Mr. Bud Rosch.
This surprise Drive-By Parade will assemble at the LIRR Bethpage Train Station at 10am on the morning of Sunday, December 6th. We are asking participants to please contact us and confirm they will participate.
Seven or more other WWII Veterans will also attend this birthday celebration. Some of these WWII Veterans will ride in the Parade in WWII Military Vehicles and then join Mr. Rosch in his front yard. Please help show the appreciation and gratitude our Long Island Family has for our WWII Heroes.
We are inviting WWII era vehicles, antique Fire Trucks, Bagpipe Bands, Police and Fire Department escorts, Car Clubs, Motorcycle Clubs, and other Long Island Organizations to participant in this Parade. All are welcome.
After the Parade, in the front yard of Mr. Rosch, he and all attending WWII Veterans will receive Letters of Recognition from the 2nd Congressional District’s Office, a Proclamation from the Nassau County Executive’s Office and a Letter of Appreciation from Honor Flight Long Island. After the Bagpipe Bands performs, granddaughter Elora will lead us in singing Happy Birthday.
These Parades are apolitical, and we will not tolerate any flags, signs, banners or any promotion of any political party, candidates, or platform. This event is about America and our local War Heroes. This is a Non-Honor Flight event.
Please contact us if you want to participant; Cell: 631.766.3296. But we prefer email: rkfdny@yahoo.com.
Thank you, Roger Kilfoil & Stephanie Folwell
