“Inspiring Tomorrows”
Only 6 States in the U.S. require a formal financial literacy stand-alone personal finance course in high school.
Junior Achievement is the largest organization providing this type of education reaching 4.8 million students per year in the U. S.
Volunteers come from all walks of life to teach in classrooms and after-school locations.
Volunteers are business people, college students, parents, retirees, and are the backbone of the organization within the inner cities, suburbs and rural areas of all 50 States.
Locally Junior Achievement of New York, reached over 102,000 students across NYC, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson Valley. More than 28,000 of those students were on Long Island and K-12 grade level.
JA programs offer students a blueprint for success by giving them hands-on opportunities to learn about money, careers and business ownership.
JA teaches students to be agents of change. From a young age, we give them an understanding of the economy and the system in which we live, which in turn allows them to enter the system with confidence and skill to actively participate in and ultimately shape it.
