“Taking the Mystery Out of Elder Care”: Guidelines and Resources for Navigating the Sandwich Generation"  

Do you find yourself "sandwiched" between the demands of caring for your aging relatives and your own life, family and work? Cognitive and physical decline is not traditionally what people think about for their golden years. 

The reality is that with people living longer, seniors and their families are often faced with overwhelming decisions and a price tag to go along with it. 

During this presentation Julie Wexler, MPA of The Bristal Assisted Living, and Melissa Negrin-Wiener (bio), Esq of Cona Elder Law (website), will take the mystery out of elder care to make sure that our loved ones get the care they need and want. They will discuss:

• Information on the aging process, the impact on family members, and how to have difficult conversations.

• How to navigate the array of senior care options, including home care and senior living.

• The importance of proactive legal and financial planning.

We will also have a breakout session where you will have the opportunity to meet other attendees and share your tips in navigating elder care.
